Favorite Bible Verse:  Ephesians 2:8-9: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.

I knew I wanted to teach in a Lutheran school since I was in first grade.  My first grade teacher in the Lutheran school I attended made a difference in my life.  I remember feeling loved and valued there.  I want the same for my students.  I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of the kids I teach.

I cherish spending time with my family, including my wonderful husband, 3 terrific kids, and 3 adorable granddaughters.  I also like to cook and bake, so I’m most happy when I’m making food for my family!  I especially enjoy cooking with my sons and baking with my granddaughters.

One fun fact:  My first teaching job was in northern Michigan, and I taught grades 1-4 in a two room Lutheran school.
